Dave Williams is a Sydney-based author and professional drummer with over 40 years of experience as a live performer and recording artist.Throughout his career Dave has recorded with artists including Delta Goodrem, Craig McLachlan and Melissa Tallon, and has performed across a wide range of styles from Blues and Funk to Contemporary Pop/Rock. From 2015 to 2024 he toured nationally with Mark Anthony's Elvis shows, performing at venues including Melbourne Crown Casino, The Star Casino Gold Coast and QPAC Theatre Brisbane. He remains a founding member of Sydney Roots/Rock/Americana band Welter, who have released five albums and an EP, with their most recent album released in 2023.Beyond music, Dave has spent his career working behind the scenes in theatre and film, and is equally comfortable in front of a camera ? directing and producing much of his band's promotional video content.Dave's debut book, Help, I'm Moving Out of Home: The Handbook Your Parents Want You To Have, was inspired by his son Elijah. Drawing on over 40 years of renting experience across Australia ? as a tenant, landlord and body corporate member ? Dave wrote the practical handbook he wished had existed when he first moved out at 18.He is currently working on his second book.
