HONG WEN, PhD, is a Fellow and Project Leader in theDepartment of Pharmaceutical Development at Novartis, as well as acore member of the Novartis TRD S&T committee. He hascontributed to dozens of INDs/IMPDs in addition to several approvedNDAs. His expertise spans from discovery support and preformulationto late-phase development of solid dosage forms. He alsospecializes in bioavailability enhancement for water insolubledrugs, oral sustained release (SR) formulations, and combinationproducts (FDC). He has written fifteen publications, sixpresentations, and eight patents in the drug delivery andcontrolled release fields.
KINAM PARK, PhD, is a Professor in the Department ofPharmaceutics and Showalter Distinguished Professor of BiomedicalEngineering at Purdue University. He is also the President ofAkina, Inc., specializing in drug delivery. Dr. Park isEditor-in-Chief of the Journal of Controlled Release amongother journal and advisory board appointments. The recipient of theControlled Release Society Founders Award in 2004, Dr. Park haspublished nine books, more than a hundred chapters, and more thantwo hundred journal articles, and holds sixteen patents.
