Penny Watson is an Emergency Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years experience within the Acute Health sector who has also worked as a professionally Registered Healer, Reflexologist and teacher of meditation and visualization techniques working with both individuals and groups.
She is married with three grown up sons and lives in rural Derbyshire within the U.K. She lived for a period of time in the Far East and travelled extensively when her family were young. In more recent years she has worked as a Registered Nurse in a busy Accident and Emergency Department in South Yorkshire prior to transferring her skills into becoming a Nursing Officer on the cruise ships. She has finally put down roots on the edge of the beautiful Peak District National Park where she currently lives.
The programme that she shares within The Choice to be Happy has evolved over time and many years of observation and practice. She like many has witnessed the devastation when there ceases to be any joy or happiness in life and the ongoing effect that has on personal and professional relationships. We are all aware that despite appearing successful, fit and well on the surface we can often be experiencing mental and emotional torture and anguish and once in that dark space it is often very difficult to stop that progression downwards.
The Choice to be Happy was developed from a deep desire to provide a step by step simple but effective approach and to offer practical daily support out of that dark space. The techniques accompanied by specific meditations are designed to sustain both our inner state of mind as well as our physical health.
She believes that the more we individually make this a conscious choice and begin to support ourselves in this process, the quicker we can experience this as our reality. Many of us need tremendous help to get from where we are now to thinking, feeling and becoming that happy person that we seek to be.
Happiness, joy and feeling good in oneself are a natural consequence that many have found long lasting and life changing which she herself uses on a daily basis to maintain her own state of wellbeing.
