Dr. Gurbhej Singh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Amritsar Group of Colleges, Punjab, India. Dr. Singh earned his Ph.D degree in Mechanical Engineering from CT University Ludhiana, Punjab, India. He specializes in surface engineering with a focus on microwave claddings, processing of materials using microwave energy, materials characterization, surface biomedical implants, biomaterials processing, polymeric composites, and nanocomposites. He has published more than 50 papers, including 30 SCI indexed papers. Additionally, he has contributed to numerous conference papers and book chapters. Dr. Singh is actively involved in the research community, serving as a reviewer for research articles. He has over ten years of teaching experience and has guided many M-Tech Students. Dr. Singh is Guest Editor of many journals, and he has organized several conferences and faculty development programs.
Dr. Amit Bansal has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at I. K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, Kapurthala, India since 2017. Previously, he was an Assistant Professor at Lovely Professional University, India from 2015-2017. He obtained his M.Tech. (Production and Industrial Engineering) and Ph.D. degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology (I.I.T.) Roorkee, India. He has worked as an Senior Research Fellow (SRF) during his Ph.D. programme at IIT Roorkee in a project sponsored by the Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS), Mumbai. His areas of research include microwave processing of materials (joining, cladding, casting & sintering) and surface engineering performed using thermal spray technology, plasma spray and flame spray, etc. He has authored more than 50 research publications in various international journals, books, and conferences of repute. He has guided many Master's and Ph.D. students in thermal spraying, advanced manufacturing, and microwave processing of materials.
