The Galactic Human Federation has been taken over by the Magisterium Purim, an ancient enemy that everyone forgot about. Almost everyone. A small resistance, led by former Ranger Ralth Martin's estranged brother Gel, has sprung up. But their efforts go nowhere until a former enemy of Ralth's forms a convenient alliance with him. Now, the resistance is starting to gain traction. Not everything is as it seems, though, as the 'help' comes with a hidden agenda. Ralth's hidden ally wants vengeance, and doesn't care who or what gets in his way. The war takes a dramatic turn that no one expects when Ralth finds a ghost from his past that will change his life. In this war, no one and nothing is what it seems anymore.
