Edge by Annette du Toit
A Dangerous Love. A Desperate Escape. A Deadly Plan.
Thelma has endured Jack's violent outbursts for too long. Once a sign of protection, his chiseled body is now a tool of terror and control. The man she once loved unleashes his rage behind closed doors, leaving scars that go much deeper and visible bruises. But this time, Thelma refuses to be his victim.
On a windswept cliff's edge, she enacts the plan she's meticulously crafted-a final, desperate bid for freedom. As Jack's drunken state blurs his senses, Thelma leads him closer to the abyss. However, the line between victim and villain becomes blurred when her balance falters and his hold tightens. It all changes in a heartbeat.
Now, haunted by the weight of her choices, Thelma must navigate the aftermath of that fateful day. Was it self-defense-or something far more dangerous?
An intriguing psychological thriller, Edge by Annette du Toit explores the hazy boundaries between love and fear, the lingering effects of violence, and the lengths a woman will go to to take back her life.
