Book Description
Diamonds have always carried stories ? of geology, of desire, of rarity. But in the twenty-first century, a new story has emerged.
This book traces the remarkable rise of synthetic diamonds, from their scientific origins to their expanding role in technology, culture, and everyday life. It explores how diamonds are grown in laboratories, how they compare to their natural counterparts, and how they are reshaping industries from jewellery to quantum computing.
Along the way, it examines the ethical and environmental questions that define the modern diamond landscape, offering readers a clear, balanced understanding of a material that is no longer bound solely to the Earth's mantle.
Written in an accessible, engaging style, this book invites readers to rethink what diamonds mean ? not as symbols of scarcity, but as reflections of human ingenuity, evolving values, and the possibilities of the future.
