Some of the most important truths in life are also the most easily forgotten. Humility is one of them.
In a world that constantly teaches us to "take the lead," "promote yourself," and "be seen," Daniel Thomas invites us to consider a different kind of greatness, one that begins by going low. This book, Humility, is not simply a study in character formation; it is an invitation to walk the same path Christ walked, a path shaped by surrender, service, and sacrificial love.
Humility is "intelligent self-respect." It is knowing who we are, our strengths without pride and our weaknesses without despair. It is the posture that admits, "Without God, I am nothing." In that surrender, God builds something beautiful.
Humility is more than a book. It is a journey of the soul, resetting of the heart. In a noisy world, this book invites you into silence. In a proud culture, it calls you to the foot of the cross. And in the fast pace of modern life, it teaches you to slow down and walk with Jesus. I believe these pages will bless you, shape you, and perhaps even change you.
Rt. Rev. Dr. Mathews Mar Makarios

Person
A corporate accountant turned religious author, Daniel Thomas is one of the pioneers of the National Sunday School system in the North American Diocese of the Mar Thoma Syrian Church. The writer worked and managed the accounting and financial functions of the IBM Corporation in India as well as in the United States for over thirty-five years. After taking a voluntary retirement in July 2000, he felt a spiritual leading to become a Christian worker, using his time for writing religious books and meditations, preaching, and thus spreading the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world.
