Description
Evan was born an 'old soul.' As a toddler, he would remark as being 'here before.' He never failed to amaze Sarah, his single mum, and Bill, his doting grandad at the stories he told of his past life as Eddie, a valiant soldier in the First World War, and then as the winner of the Tour de France in 1920, along with his cycling buddy, Jack Kowalski.
Evan talked about being in Heaven with past relatives, including the grandmother he never met, and his unborn aunt, explaining the lessons of Heaven and how he came to be born again to his new mummy.
As he grew in years, his stories became more lucid and he became more and more distressed at not being able to see previous family, especially his favourite sister, from decades ago.
Sarah and Bill were determined to listen to him and help him live in the present whilst remaining steadfast he never forgets the memories of being the incredibly brave and talented man he had once been, before he was him.
A simple case of a child's wild imagination, or is it a whole lot more?

Lisa Talbott was born in Norfolk, but grew up in Leicestershire, England. She always hankered to move to sunnier climes to grow tomatoes and become a song lyricist. Retired, Lisa now lives in a remote village in Central Portugal where, instead of writing lyrics, she found poetry more befitting. Having acquired more land and animals than she ever wanted or needed, her lifestyle affords much inspiration for her writing, which has branched out to include short stories and novels.
