She started as a Biomedical Scientist qualified abroad and rose through the ranks in the UK. She completed her MSc and DSc and has had the opportunity to mentor over five thousand students and professionals. She enjoys stretching the imagination of the younger generation to think big and to believe in themselves. Dr Lydia Taiwo is also a Specialist Assessor with the Academy for Healthcare Sciences (AHCS) UK where she assesses students embarking on the STPE and the HSSTE programmes to become Clinical Scientists.
