In a world torn by war, where heroes clash on distant battlefields, one man fights a quieter, yet no less noble battle.
Gerard, an aspiring innkeeper, has transformed The Lodge at Uln Esril into a sanctuary?a beacon of hope amidst chaos. As the Inquisition falls and the Alliance rises, Gerard faces his greatest challenge yet: navigating the burdens of leadership in a world rebuilding from the ashes of war.
With the ever-loyal Milton by his side, Barrett in the kitchen, Francesca and Jacob finding their paths, and Finlay forging bonds with the horse warriors, The Lodge becomes more than a refuge?it's a family. But as debts are paid and dreams take root, whispers of what lies ahead cast long shadows over their hard-won peace.
Through 10 gripping stories, The Innkeeper's War explores resilience, sacrifice, and the strength found in the unlikeliest of heroes. Experience a flash fiction anthology where the battles aren't fought with swords, but with compassion, ingenuity, and heart.
The journey may end here, but the echoes of The Lodge will linger long after you turn the final page.
Discover the extraordinary lives of ordinary people.
