A hero's journey begins in the shadows.
Reya Pax isn't a captain, a fighter pilot, or a galactic savior. She's a Junior Technician aboard the ISS Indomitable, tasked with the grunt work that keeps the galaxy's most legendary ship running. But as humanity faces an enigmatic threat that's erasing entire colonies without a trace, Reya's small victories become part of a much larger fight for survival.
Through ten vivid flash fiction stories, Deckhand to Engineer chronicles Reya's journey from a nameless background character to a vital part of the Indomitable's crew. As she fixes what's broken, finds what's lost, and forms bonds with those around her, Reya's quiet resilience shines brighter than any battle won on the bridge.
This is the story of those who keep the lights on and the engines running, proving that even in the vast void of space, no role is too small to matter.
Join Reya Pax in NPCs: Chronicles of the Galactic Engineer, Book 1, and discover the unseen heroics of the galactic frontier.
