Sathans Suhag is currently serving as a professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, NIT Kurukshetra, and has an overall experience of more than 30 years. His research interests include renewable energy systems, evolutionary algorithms, and intelligent control. He has published more than 100 research articles. At the institute level, he has served as the Dean (Academics), Dean (Students' Welfare), and Coordinator of the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme. At the national level, he has served as Chairman of the All-India Board of Technician Education of AICTE, New Delhi; Visitor Nominee for all NITs and Manipur Central University; and Chancellor Nominee for Gujarat Technological University. He is one of the designated experts on the AICTE Panel on NEP-2020. He has traveled to the USA, Australia, France, UAE, Canada, and Japan for various academic interactions and has delivered talks at reputed international conferences.
Tripta Thakur is the Director General of the National Power Training Institute, the apex body of the Ministry of Power, Government of India. She was earlier the Head and Professor of the Electrical Engineering Department at MANIT Bhopal. She has several awards to her credit, such as Commonwealth Research Scholar at the University of Dundee (2005-2008), UK; Commonwealth Academic Fellow at Durham University Business School (2014), UK; COFUND Senior Researcher at Durham University Business School (2016); Visiting Faculty at the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok (2010); Technical Member for the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), SEG4 Group; ISGF (MoP) Working Group Member; Women Technology Innovation Award by the Indian Smart Grid Forum; STEM Women Award 2024 by the Madhya Pradesh Government; and Shrimati Sushma Swaraj Stree Shakti Engineering Samman in August 2024.
Sukumar Mishra is currently serving as the Director of the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad. Earlier, he served as the Dean of Research and External Engagement at the IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi Campus, Associate Dean (R&D), and Executive Committee Member of the IEEE Delhi Section. His research expertise lies in the fields of power systems, power quality studies, renewable energy, and smart grids. Prof. Mishra has won many accolades, such as the Young Scientist Award (1999) by Orissa Bigyan Academy; INSA Medal for Young Scientist (2002); INAE Young Engineer Award (2002); INAE Silver Jubilee Young Engineer Award (2012); Samanta Chandra Shekhar Award (2016); Bimal Bose Award (2019); NASI-Reliance Platinum Jubilee Award (2019); National Mission Innovation Championship Award (2019); INAE Outstanding Teachers Award (2021); Innovation Leadership Award (2023); and Prof. K.L. Chopra Applied Research Award (2023), among others.
