John G. Kennedy, MD, MCh, FRCS is an ankle surgeon working primarily in sports injuries at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, NY.
Dr. Kennedy graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin in 1989 and has since trained both in Ireland and in the United States. Pragmatic solutions combined with innovative surgery have therefore been the hallmark of Dr. Kennedy's practice. Arthroscopy of the joint and tendon are a backbone of Dr. Kennedy's practice, and the indications and practical therapies using the arthroscope are constantly evolving. To date, he has authored over 140 peer-reviewed publication, in addition to multiple book chapters and books on this area of expertise.
Dr. Kennedy is a Master Instructor at the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA) foot and ankle arthroscopy course, where he feels that he learns as much as he teaches from participants who attend from all over the world. This commitment to global teaching is further emphasized by the presence of several international orthopedic surgeons and researchers who train with Dr. Kennedy each year at his practice in New York City. This book from AANA on techniques in arthroscopy of the foot and ankle provides an excellent account for both basic and advanced arthroscopists to learn and further develop their skill set. It provides a comprehensive account of the most up-to-date concepts and procedures written by the foremost surgeons in the world.
