He was honored by awarding "TAI Ratna" by The Textile Association (India) during their Platinum Jubilee celebrations on 9th April, 2014. Mr. B. Purushothama has published various technical and management books and articles, presented papers in various national and international conferences, and also has written numerous social books in Kannada. The total books written by him cross over one hundred.
