Tiago A. Santos is an Assistant Professor of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at Instituto Superior Tecnico, University of Lisbon, Portugal. He received the MSc degree from the University of Glasgow, Scotland, UK, in 1999 and the PhD degree from Instituto Superior Tecnico, University of Lisbon, Portugal, in 2007. He is currently a member of the Naval Architecture Branch of the Portuguese Association of Engineers (Ordem dos Engenheiros). He has participated in a significant number of national and international research projects, and has co-authored 23 journal papers, 33 conference papers and 7 chapters in books.
