Piyush Maheshwari, PhD, is currently a professor of computer and information sciences at the British University in Dubai, UAE. During 2015-2019), he was the dean of engineering at Amity University Dubai. He is a recognized technology leader, educator and distributed systems researcher. He earned his PhD in computer science from the University of Manchester, UK, in 1990 and B.Eng./M.Eng. from IIT-Roorkee, India. He is a senior member of the IEEE. With an overall experience of 35 years in the ICT industry and CSE academia, he brings distinguished and well-recognized thought leadership in the areas of enterprise and solutions architecture, cloud- and IoT-based software systems, system integration, and mobile-enabled applications. He has co-authored more than 130 papers in various technical journals and international conferences and holds two international patents. He has been a keynote speaker at various international forums such as ASET 2019, ICCA 2017, NGCT 2016, ICECCS 2016, Middleware 2010 and AusGrid'06, and has served on the organizing and program committees of leading conferences, reviewed many technical articles and examined several PhD theses.
Purushottam Sharma, PhD, attained his PhD in computer science in the field of temporal data mining. He is working as an associate professor in the Department of Information Technology, Amity University, Uttar Pradesh, Noida, India. He has more than 14 years of experience in research, academia and industry, and has published more than 40 research papers in SCI, ESCI, Scopus, journals indexed in Google Scholar, and reputed international conferences. He holds multiple technical patents. Presently, he is a member of various professional bodies and a reviewer for many reputed journals. He is also a Cisco Certified Instructor Trainer ITQ (Instructor Trainer Qualification). He is also certified CCNA, CCNA(R&S) Global Certificate from Cisco System USA. He has conducted many training programs including Cisco Instructor Training to various industry professionals, instructors and university faculties. He has delivered international lectures for different subjects in e-learning mode to 29 African countries using the PAN-AFRICAN network, a joint venture of the Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Government of India, and Amity University, Uttar Pradesh. He has published three books under student study materials for the PAN-AFRICAN project with the title Multimedia Technologies, Accessing the WAN and LAN, Switching and Wireless by the publisher Amity University Online.
Sonali Vyas, PhD, has been serving as an academician for around a decade. Currently, she is working as an assistant professor (senior scale) at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Uttarakhand. Her research interest includes database virtualization, data mining, and big data analytics. She is a professional member of CSI, IEEE, ACM-India, IFERP, IAENG, ISOC, SCRS and IJERT. She has been awarded "Best Academician of the Year Award (Female)" in the Global Education and Corporate Leadership Awards (GECL-2018). She is an editor of Pervasive Computing: A Networking Perspective and Future Directions (Springer Nature) and Smart Farming Technologies for Sustainable Agricultural Development (IGI Global). She acted as a guest editor of a special issue of Computer and Electrical Engineering. She is also a guest editor of the special issue on machine learning and software systems in the Journal of Statistics and Management Systems. She is also a member of the editorial and reviewer boards in many refereed national and international journals. She has also been a member of organizing committees, national advisory boards and technical program committees at many international and national conferences. She has also chaired sessions in various reputed international and national conferences. She has authored many research papers in refereed journals/conference proceedings, as well as many book chapters and books with reputed publishers. She is also professionally associated as an examiner and paper setter at CBSE, NTA, University of Rajasthan, IIS University Jaipur and Rajasthan Technical University.
