RONALD F. CARTER, PHD, FCCMG, GACMG is Director, GeneticServices, Hamilton Health Sciences and Professor, Department ofPathology and Molecular Medicine, McMaster University. He is aformer president of the Canadian College of Medical Genetics, and afounding fellow of the American College of Medical Genetics. Dr.Carter was appointed to direct a regional cytogenetics laboratoryin 1991, and now directs a medical genetic service with a catchmentof over two million people.
