Solid-State NMR: Applications in biomembrane structure describes the methodology and applications of solid-state NMR spectroscopy to studies of membrane proteins, membrane-active peptides and model biological membranes. As well as structural studies, it includes studies of membrane interactions and molecular motions. It is a timely book which addresses the current advances in biological solid-state NMR and high-field developments in biological membranes and whole cells.
The ability to study membrane constituents, i.e. lipids, proteins and peptides, in situ is an exciting development, that is incorporated throughout this text. Many of the chapter authors and contributors are world-class researchers who present well researched cutting-edge material related to these topics.

Persons
Frances Separovic is a biophysical chemist and deputy director of the Bio21 Institute, University of Melbourne, Australia. Her research group studies the structure and dynamics of molecules in biological membranes, with a focus on peptide antibiotics and toxins, primarily using solid-state NMR techniques. Frances is a Fellow of the Biophysical Society, International Society of Magnetic Resonance and the Australian Academy of Science. Additionally, she's been awarded an IUPAC Distinguished Women of Chemistry and an Officer of the Order of Australia.
Marc-Antoine Sani is a senior research fellow at the School of Chemistry, University of Melbourne. His expertise precesses around DNP NMR and solid-state NMR of biomolecules, with a particular focus on in-cell studies. He obtained his PhD jointly from Umeå University and Bordeaux University. He is an editorial board member of ANZMAGazine and the Victorian representative for the Australian Society for Biophysics.
