Wolfgang Schnellbächer is a Managing Director and Partner of the Boston Consulting Group in Germany, and leads the procurement practice in Europe and the Middle East. Over the last 12 years, he has been working with leading procurement organizations across industries to generate savings, help streamline existing processes and incorporate new technologies and ideas. Here Wolfgang`s special focus has been on giving Procurement a wider mandate to enable significantly increased savings but equally strong improvements in innovation, sustainability, speed or quality. Wolfgang`s doctoral thesis applied the game theory to procurement negotiations, and showed the difference between face-to-face and digital negotiation set-ups. Based on his thesis he has built the AI Negotiation Coach as first solution bringing artificial intelligence to life in procurement. The big passions in his personal life are literature and running.
Daniel Weise is a Managing Director and Partner of theBoston Consulting Group and the Global Lead of its procurement practice. In his 17 years with BCG, Daniel works exclusively in procurement consulting serving leading companies across industries and geographies. His work concentrates on unleashing the full value potential from procurement and implementing the best suiting operating models, also in special contexts like PMIs or turn-around cases. For him, digitization is at the core to enable the procurement team sustainably and to bolster companies competitiveness - together with its supply base. In his free time, Daniel is a passionate mountaineer and a learning cook. Together with his family he lives in Düsseldorf, Germany. Daniel holds a Master degree in business administration from WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management and a master degree in Science of Finance from London Business School.
