In this book, Douglas Scarrett and Jan Wilcox demonstrate how to successfully manage properties for the varying needs of clients ranging from individual property owners to large international commercial ventures. As well as the basic theory, Property Asset Management discusses the process of active management, the strategic objectives, performance measurement, and the key financial and operational information needed for high quality and comprehensive reporting to clients.
This fourth edition has new chapters on corporate real estate and financial management, and has been extensively rewritten to incorporate recent developments in property management. Software screenshots are used to illustrate salient points and readers are provided with a thorough overview of the latest legal aspects of land ownership and tenancy arrangements. With everything you need for successful property asset management, this book both caters for the needs of RICS accredited and business courses and serves as a handy guide for everyday practice.
Reviews / Votes
Reviews of Previous Editions:'On putting this book down the lasting impression is one of having been in safe and reliable hands....the book is written from a sound base of knowledge backed by a wide practical experience of managing property' - Journal of Property Valuation
'updated to take account of recent developments in law and practice ... the third edition of Property Asset Management will enable those working in this important area of professional surveying practice to keep their knowledge up to date.' - David Adams, University of Glasgow, Housing Studies
Reviews of Current Edition:
"The wide scope of this book makes it suitable for all property students and practitioners as a basic textbook. ...it has a strong focus on local [UK] legislations and stakeholders, but their discussion also shows property managers from other countries what to consider and find out in their own national context...The book [also] has a clear, general explanation of CRE and how it should be approached by organisations of all sizes. By its broad approach, the content is relevant for property management of small and large organisations."
--Dr. Riane Appel, Eindhoven University of Technology, Netherlands

The file format PDF always displays a book page identically on any hardware. This makes PDF suitable for complex layouts such as those used in textbooks and reference books (images, tables, columns, footnotes). Unfortunately, on the small screens of e-readers or smartphones, PDFs are rather annoying, requiring too much scrolling.
This eBook uses Adobe-DRM, a „hard” copy protection. If the necessary requirements are not met, unfortunately you will not be able to open the eBook. You will therefore need to prepare your reading hardware before downloading.
Please note: We strongly recommend that you authorise using your personal Adobe ID after installation of any reading software.
