Persons
Mengia Tschalaer (PhD) is Adjunct Professor of Anthropology and Law and Society at John Jay College of Criminal Justice (CUNY). Her research focuses on the intersection of gender, sexuality, migration, and LGBTQI+ rights and has appeared in leading peer-reviewed journals and informed numerous policy briefs. She is the co-founder of the Queer European Asylum Network.
