Sue Russell is an award-winning journalist and author based in California. She has written over 1,500 articles for publications including the Washington Post, New Scientist, Salon.com, PSmag.com, Miller-McCune.com, American Legion, GE's Healthymagination.com, Healthline.com, and the UK's Independent, Daily Telegraph, Sunday Express, Sunday Times and Hello! She is a former Contributing Editor to Success Magazine, Hong Kong Tatler and Asia Tatler magazines and her work has also appeared internationally in publications like Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan and Irish Tatler. Sue regularly writes about crime and criminal justice, health and medicine, social and women's issues, Hollywood and celebrities. Her stories have involved issues like flawed forensic science, bias and fingerprints, eyewitness identification procedures, false confessions, wrongful convictions, animal rights law and extreme activism, fire and arson investigations, wildfire research, violent crimes against law enforcement officers and girls in gangs. Health and medical writing topics include migraine, biofeedback, influenza, gastrointestinal disorders. She has interviewed a multitude of celebrities: Christina Aguilera, Heidi Klum, Sean Connery, Jane Fonda, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jermaine and LaToya Jackson, Rod Stewart, the Trump family, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, to name but a few. Her fact crime book Lethal Intent is about serial killer Aileen Wuornos who shot seven men to death in Florida and was executed in 2002. She is currently writing The Illustrated Courtroom: 50 Years of Court Art for CUNY Journalism Press with illustrator/co-author Elizabeth Williams.
