Rakesh has supervised four PhD and six MTech students and was honored with the Best Faculty Award in 2023.
Pravin Kumar is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Mechanical and Energy Engineering at Southern University of Science and Technology in Shenzhen, China. Previously, he worked at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, India as a Postdoctoral Researcher. He holds a PhD in Additive Manufacturing from the Indian Institute of Technology Indore, where he has developed theoretical modes to predict the dimensional accuracy and surface roughness of the metallic parts manufactured by Micro-Plasma Transferred Arc Additive Manufacturing. He received his M.Tech in the specialization of Manufacturing Technology from National Institute of Technology Agartala and his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Uttar Pradesh Technical University. He has an excellent publication record of his work which includes the formulation of analytical models, investigation of dimensional and geometrical tolerances, surface roughness, high-temperature oxidation behaviour, and post-processing of AM parts. His research interests include metal additive manufacturing, directed energy deposition, wire and arc additive manufacturing, and non-conventional machining processes.

System requirements:
- Computer (Windows; MacOS X; Linux): Install the free reader Adobe Digital Editions prior to download (see eBook Help).

The file format PDF always displays a book page identically on any hardware. This makes PDF suitable for complex layouts such as those used in textbooks and reference books (images, tables, columns, footnotes). Unfortunately, on the small screens of e-readers or smartphones, PDFs are rather annoying, requiring too much scrolling.
This eBook uses Adobe-DRM, a „hard” copy protection. If the necessary requirements are not met, unfortunately you will not be able to open the eBook. You will therefore need to prepare your reading hardware before downloading.
Please note: We strongly recommend that you authorise using your personal Adobe ID after installation of any reading software.
