Persons
Susan Pollock is Professor of Anthropology at BinghamtonUniversity, with a specialty in archaeology of the Middle East. Shehas conducted fieldwork in Iran, Turkey, and Iraq. Her researchcontributes to studies of political economy, ideology andrepresentation, and archaeology in the media.
Reinhard Bernbeck is Associate Professor of Anthropologyat Binghamton University. His specialty is the archaeology of theancient Near East. He has directed and participated in fieldprojects in Syria, Jordan, Turkey, and Iran. He is interested inhistoriography and theories of praxis and also remains committed toa historical materialist view of the past.
