Her photographs are in the permanent collections of many museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, the International Center of Photography, the George Eastman House, and the J. Paul Getty Museum. She lives in Evanston, Illinois.
