KALYAN SHANKAR RAY is a Professor of Economics and Banking at ASBM University, where he was the founding Vice-Chancellor; he was a banker earlier. He has published several research papers and eleven edited volumes on management, and now edits the ASBM Journal of Management. He is a Fellow of the Indian Social Science Academy and holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration and an MA in Economics from Utkal University with a PG Diploma in Bank Management (PGDBM) from the National Institute of Bank Management (NIBM), Pune. His areas of academic interest are Development Banking, Credit Management, Legal Aspects of Banking, and Organisational Effectiveness. Prof. Ray is a bibliophile and loves to laze with a book while listening to Indian classical music.
SMARAKI PATTANAYAK is an Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management, with a doctorate from Ravenshaw University. She has also completed the Faculty Development Programme in Management at IIM Ahmedabad. In recognition of her exceptional contributions to teaching, student engagement, and academic leadership, she received the ACBSP Teaching Excellence Award (USA) in 2023. She has published research in reputed national and international refereed journals, edited scholarly volumes, and contributed book chapters. Her work examines the human side of organizations, with a focus on psychological contracts, workplace happiness, and organizational culture.
PHALGU NIRANJANA is a Professor of OB & HRM in the School of Business at ASBM University. She holds a Master's degree and an M.Phil in Psychology, as well as a Ph.D. in Business Administration. She has to her credit forty-six publications in nationally and internationally refereed journals and fourteen books published by Sage, Response Books, Excel, and Bloomsbury. She has also presented numerous papers at national and international conferences. In recognition of her continued commitment to student success, she was honoured with the ACBSP Teaching Excellence Award in 2022-becoming one of only eleven educators worldwide to receive this distinction.
