The book has a wealth of information on anorexia. It is part writer's comments and experiences, and part useful exercises. Anna takes the reader along her path of recovery and describes the different therapies available, how to deal with triggers and dangerous behaviour, anger management, how to build confidence and how to liveat a healthy weight. Easy to read and understand, it is a book that you can dip in and out of. It even concludes with a chapter providing useful recipes for eating-disorders sufferers, which show that no food type should be off-limits because they can all form part of a healthy diet. The book gives the message that recovery from eating disorders, which affect more than one million people in the UK, is achievable. -- Children and Young People Now Although aimed squarely at sufferers, Beating Eating Disorders might well also serve to provide information and insight to their carers, family and friends.
