When computer programmer Nathaniel "Deuce" Stoller's apartment catches fire, the Oceanside Fire Department is called in to deal with the blaze. One of the firefighters, Trey Donovan, heroically rescues Deuce's beloved pregnant dog. Even though he is now homeless, Deuce is grateful, and he goes to the station house to make sure Trey knows that. The spark of attraction between the two men flares quickly, but Trey's ex-wife, Holly, is out to douse the growing flames. She resents Deuce, doesn't want him around her seven-year-old daughter, and endeavors to make it impossible for Trey and Deuce to connect on a meaningful level. If they want to get to know each other, they'll need to find a way to deal with the interference.
Return to Oceanside with two sweet and humorous tales of new love, fresh starts, firefighters, family, and a litter of adorable puppies.
