To the outside world, Brian Hart had it all ? two loving step kids in college, a thriving law practice, an attractive wife, good friends, and excellent health. What more could a man want? In truth, he was dying a slow death inside.

In his wife's desperate effort to find herself, he had become the enemy. In her mind, he was completely and irreversibly irrelevant. Her open contempt for him only fuels his own ever-growing sense of inadequacy.
