The ice age is ending.
Two different Clans of people are in a new land.
They share the common need to survive.
Both Clans Struggle to Survive the brutal cold, and to have enough food
On the naming day, One child chooses the claw of an eagle.
An eagle plucks the claw from the child's up stretched hand.
The child becomes Taelo - the claw of the eagle.
Taelo and his cousin Golden Hawk, and Burley Bear of the Others
Young men from two different peoples become loyal friends.
They demonstrate ingenuity and an ability to overcome adversity.
They change the culture of both Clans.
Their actions enrich both Clans.
