It has humor, repetition and rhyme, plus ends with a poem titled, The Gift. The book is fully illustrated with color and black and white photographs. It shows how adoptive children are no different from biological children when it comes to love and to care for. They grow, eat, sleep, breathe and play sports. They have good days and bad, just like everybody else. Most important of all, they are loved in good times and bad.

Ana Monnar earned a Masters Degree in the area of Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Florida International University. Mrs. Monnar has been teaching for more than 20 years. She's taught second, third and fourth grades. She also had the opportunity to work as a Reading Curriculum Specialist and Reading Leader. She has written successful grant proposals and earned the title, "Teacher of the Year" in the 1980's. Mrs. Monnar has inspired many learners to write Award winning pieces. Her students have won trophies and certificates for District Contests such as Young Authors, Books With Wings and Poetry Contests.
Mrs. Monnar married Mr. Octavio Monnar on August 20, 1982. They were blessed with three children. Photography, reading, writing and going to the three children's activities are all fun and exciting diversions for the author. Mr. Monnar is currently suffering from Alzheimer's disease. He can't remember the names, but he can sense the love and bond is still there from his wife, children, family and close friends.
