Geoff is spiraling. A talented accountant with a sharp wit and a hollow gaze, he's drowning in addiction and self-loathing, pushing away the people who love him most. In a desperate bid for redemption, he journeys deep into the Peruvian Amazon in search of a mythical shaman known only as the Taita Aserrún-a man said to possess the power to cure even the most hopeless cases of addiction.
But salvation comes at a cost.
What begins as a harrowing trek through the jungle soon becomes an inward descent into Geoff's fractured psyche. The shaman offers Geoff a mysterious concoction that promises freedom-but warns him that to be cured, he must give up what he loves most. Haunted by visions and faced with a terrible choice, Geoff returns home unsure if he's been saved or cursed.
Back in New York, Geoff tries to rebuild his life in sobriety. He finds hope in an unexpected romance, support in his family, and clarity through the 12 steps. But the memory of that final drop-still corked in a bottle on his mantle-lingers like a shadow. As grief and temptation tighten their grip, Geoff must confront the true cost of healing... and whether some demons can ever be left behind.
The Last Drop is a haunting, lyrical journey through addiction, recovery, and the brutal, beautiful choices we make to reclaim our lives.
