Person
Is an Ecuadorian lawyer and university professor. He has worked for the defense and promotion of human rights for over twenty years. He is a Doctor in Jurisprudence at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (PUCE). He also has a Master's in International Sciences from Universidad Central del Ecuador, a Master's in Environmental Law from Universidad del País Vasco, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Rights and Democratization Processes from Universidad de Chile. As a trial lawyer, he represents the Kichwa People of Sarayaku and other victims before the Inter-American Human Rights System (IAHRS). Currently, he is a professor at PUCE, head of the Human Rights Center of that university, and a postgraduate professor at Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar. He collaborates with Dejusticia through his international work on ethnic and racial justice.
