Daniel McNeil is the inaugural Public Humanities Fellow at the University of Toronto, Canada, and an Associate Professor of History at Carleton University. A former holder of the Ida B. Wells-Barnett Visiting Professorship of African and Black Diaspora Studies at DePaulUniversity, his books include Sex and Race in the Black Atlantic (2010).
