"I still love you," she murmured. "I loved you before the soul-bond, you know."
Ivan looked away. "I... It's like Velerian is in between how I feel about everyone and everything else." He looked down at his dragonling, who was stretched to full height with one front paw ? or taloned hand ? placed delicately on Ivan's belt.
"It's not your fault..." the tall knight said gently as Velerian looked at him with a certain anxiety, alternating that with giving Karana a rather suspicious look.
Karana looked between her fiancé and his dragonling speculatively.
