Ronald Ordinola Zapata, DDS, MS, PhD, is currently an associate professor in the Endodontic Division of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. He received his master's and doctorate degrees from the Bauru School of Dentistry at the University of Sao Paulo in Brazil. He completed his endodontic residency program at the IB Bender Endodontic Division of the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia as well as a certificate in clinical research at the University of Minnesota's School of Public Health. During his academic career, Dr Zapata has published over 110 manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals and has lectured in over 18 countries. He also serves at the associate editor of the International Endodontic Journal and is a member of the scientific advisory committee for the Journal of Endodontics.
