Description
Alles über E-Books | Antworten auf Fragen rund um E-Books, Kopierschutz und Dateiformate finden Sie in unserem Info- & Hilfebereich.
This hand book has been published to help the Agricultural and Horticultural scientists and students to identify the common insect pests and diseases of mango. Illustrations of a few beneficial insects are given here, to emphasize that it is important to first determine the role of insects found on our crops rather than assuming that all insects are harmful and so must be eliminated. Brief description of the distribution, symptoms of damage, bionomics, mark of identification and viable IPM strategies for key pests are given together along with suggestions for management. Chemical control should only be used where essential and preferably with the advice of plant protection specialist. It is not easy to identify insect pests and diseases particularly from photographs. Readers are therefore to collect and preserve insects found on their crops and seek help from professional entomologist and pathologist to identify them and maintain specimen's collections for future reference.
