Description
For Detective Inspector Alex Menzies the first day in her new job starts with a call to the scene of a terrible murder. A young man has been left on a funeral pyre with a hole in the centre of his skull.
The investigation into the mysterious murder is lead by Detective Superintendent Tom Russell but within days the city is shocked by the discovery of another mutlilated and burned body. A religous motif is part of the killer's signature and the terrifying possibility of the city's first serial killer in over forty years gives the police investigators a challenge that will tax all their skills and combined experience.
The killing continues and as the pressure mounts on the team to get a result, one of their own is caught up in the killer's warped desire to find the truth about the true nature of the human soul. The chase is on to bring the Soulseeker to justice before he can destroy another innocent life.
