Description
The motor and sensory tracts of the nervous system is a complicated topic to learn for students studying neuroanatomy. Motor and Sensory Pathways of the Nervous System is an anatomical atlas that illustrates each tract in the form of a flow diagram with a corresponding illustration showing where the axons travel from the spinal cord to the cortex (sensory pathway) or from the cortex to the spinal cord (motor pathway). All twelve bilateral cranial nerve pathways (motor, sensory, and parasympathetic) are also shown in detail as a flow diagram with a corresponding illustration.

Amy Lewis is a Registered Nurse and has an 18-year history of teaching anatomical sciences to students of all health and science disciplines at tertiary education level. Amy has spent many years doing prosection of cadavers for teaching and learning, after becoming the winner of the prestigious Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Dissection Prize in 2004. This topic of neuroanatomy has always been difficult for anatomy students to learn, and Amy felt it was time to convey all pathways into one concise book for a quick reference.
