This book provides reflection and account of innovative practice for how we approach teaching and learning for cyber security education. Cyber security continues to play a crucial role in our modern society, with a need to secure supply chain attacks and critical infrastructure. How we therefore educate in this area and how we encourage new ways of thinking and new ways of addressing these challenges require a community effort across academia, industry, and government to continually reflect and enhance our practice.
The variety of works in this book includes the development of cyber escape rooms, gamification approaches for cyber security education, and AI-based learning platforms. The topics span across how we rethink of the insider threat in the age of AI, how social media interplays with cyber security education, and how we teach geopolitical aspects of cyber security. As a rapidly growing area of education, there are many fascinating examples of innovative teaching and assessment taking place; however, as a community we can do more to share best practice and enhance collaboration across the education sector. CSE Connect is a UK-based community group that promotes sharing and collaboration in cyber security education so that we can upskill and innovate the community together both nationally and internationally.
The chapters of this book were presented at the 5th Annual Advances in Teaching and Learning for Cyber Security Education conference, hosted by CSE Connect at the University of Warwick, UK, on July 22, 2025. The book is of interest to educators, students, and practitioners in cyber security, both for those looking to upskill in cyber security education, as well as those aspiring to work within the cyber security sector.

The file format PDF always displays a book page identically on any hardware. This makes PDF suitable for complex layouts such as those used in textbooks and reference books (images, tables, columns, footnotes). Unfortunately, on the small screens of e-readers or smartphones, PDFs are rather annoying, requiring too much scrolling.
This eBook uses Watermark-DRM, a „soft” copy protection. This means that there are no technical restrictions to prevent illegal distribution. However, there is a personalised watermark embedded in the eBook that can be used to identify the purchaser of the eBook in the event of misuse and to provide evidence for legal purposes.
