Description
What do you think a colonial construction engineer does? That's right ? he builds industrial infrastructure on planets. Arriving on the planet Locus, a young engineer discovers that the society there is on the verge of collapse: the Colonial Constitution is being ignored, and the territory is carved up between warring alliances on one side and bandits on the other.
The system that allows colonists to be reborn after death is still running. But how much longer will it last? On top of everything else, the capital of Locus ? where the system's servers are housed ? has been seized by "demons," and the city itself is sealed behind an impenetrable force field.
Ron doesn't like violence... But what he likes even less is lawlessness. He'll have to set aside his principles and try to live by the local rule: might makes right.
