The Four Collects is a book length compendium of four stories with distinctive themes.
In the first "Collect" a decorated Major of the 1st WW is emotionally scarred and suffers
from what is presently termed PTSD. He played Russian roulette and would have committed
suicide had it not been for the timely intervention of a caring woman to save him.
In the second "Collect" a renowned yet naïve Surgeon is determined to dedicate his services
to the Spanish Civil war and enters the British secret service arduous training programme. He
is blind to the fact that they are determined to break him physically and mentally.
The third "Collect" is an extraordinary exposé of a secret silent weapon called the 'Welrod'
that was designed and developed by British SOE. It falls into the wrong hands and the
attempt to use it to assassinate the Spanish head of State on a Ceremonial visit to Portugal.
The fourth "Collect" is the planned use of the wild Frontier Pashtun tribes to annexe the
Princely State of Kashmir to Pakistan and the dreadful experiences of the Convent Nuns of
Baramulla who are caught up in the middle of the crisis.
