The author possesses BS, MS, and PhD degrees in 'Textile Engineering' and an MS degree in 'Applied Statistics'. He would like to describe himself as a 'Multidisciplinary Scientist' with more than 38 years of teaching, research, and industrial experience in polymer, fiber, textile, apparel, carpet, and other related disciplines. He taught most of the dry manufacturing courses offered to textile engineers at Georgia Tech. He also taught several MSE core courses to the UG students specializing in 'Materials Science and Engineering'. He managed ten different teaching and research labs that housed manufacturing and characterization facilities for raw materials and end-products. He served as the 'Coordinator of Industry and Public Support Activities' of his school at Georgia Tech and completed more than 220 applied research projects for the benefit of manufacturers. He has published more than 65 refereed research papers, several text books, e-books and book chapters. He presented in more than 200 national and international conferences. He has been an active member of the Fiber Society, AATCC, ASTM, and TQCA. He continues to play a leadership role in several AATCC technical committees, including as 'Chairman of the AATCC Committee on Statistics (Since 2005)'.
He served as a 'Subject Matter Expert' in more than 60 litigations across the United States. For litigation work, he analyzed technology patents and tested raw materials and finished products; he evaluated product design and performance. In courtrooms and depositions, he managed to simplify and present complex subject knowledge to reveal the truth. He came across as a one-person think tank that displayed expertise with credibility.
