Cardiff, 1972:

The Kendall Institute is responsible for looking into cold cases when the police cannot afford the time or the money to investigate. Founded by Wales scrum half Wyn Davies, the team comprises forensic scientist Lydia Beynon; ex-Gwent Constabulary Dave Hopkins; and the digital team of twins Ariadne and Osian Thomas.
Anna Edwards, their newest recruit, arrives as the Domino Man case is re-opened. Anna is starting her life afresh, having escaped from a coercively controlling husband.
