Still, he'd rather use his newfound control to help the Schism, but with Tsurina's hold over him growing stronger by the day, sneaking away to fight alongside underground revolutionaries is proving harder and harder to do.
Meanwhile, Andra is living in the tunnels under the city with the rest of the cryogenically frozen colonists, determined to find out her true purpose as an AI and build the rocket that will finally get the colonists off the planet that's killing them. But as she digs deeper into her subconscious, she starts to question whether she was really created for good. And Zhade, feeling more and more drawn to Tsurina's destructive plans for Erensend, wonders whether the power of the Crown is causing him to lose himself.
With both battling the dangerous forces inside themselves, Andra and Zhade must find a way to work together to save their people before two power-hungry leaders and a deadly swarm of rogue technology destroy them all for good.
