Once a promising young pilot in the Air Force, John had always dreamed of soaring through the skies and pushing the limits of what was possible in an aircraft. However, his dreams were nearly shattered when he was brought down by a rogue missile during a mission, crashing and losing his left foot in the process. He worked for many years to gain the trust of any customers who might be sceptical of a pilot with a prosthetic foot.
Over the years, he was able to allay these fears and his air service became a great success.
An urgent jab came his way and, whilst trying to fly over some mountains, the weather turned very bad, and he was forced down, crashing into the trees and heavy snowfalls. He suffered a broken leg and various cuts and bruises. He seriously doubted that he would survive the night. It was very, very cold and there were very heavy winds and snow flurries.
Then, John heard some sounds, and his hopes for help were raised. What happened next would become the strangest period of his life, so strange and other worldly, that he still finds it so hard to accept that it really happened!
