A Leaf on the Stream
Description

Whether we know it or not, each of us is a leaf on the stream of Creation, following the flow of God's plan for our lives. Sometimes we fight against the current, trying to direct our own path. Sometimes we think we succeed. But in the end, we are still that leaf gently floating down the stream, catching rays of Christ's light in our lives.
During Lent, many of us recognize Christ's light shining more brightly for us as we prepare for the mystery and the wonder of Christ's resurrection, celebrated on Easter morning. Our observance of Lent as a time of preparation focused on prayer brings us closer to God through personal reflection and meditation on the Word of God.
This collection of Lenten reflections is meant to provide a daily moment of prayer and contemplation on the meaning of Christ's sacrifice, the ramifications of this sacrifice and resurrection on the world, and our own place within Christ's Kingdom here on earth. Our faith is strengthened when we spend time with the Lord in prayer, so take a moment with him each day, and let his light into your life.
