TRINITY Therapy

Sherry Lewis Henry, PhD, MSW, is a licensed clinician who has worked in private practice, social service agencies, and group therapy settings, specializing in PTSD, in both civilian and military settings in CA, TX, HI, and Japan. Her chosen modality is Transactional Analysis, which offers a simple route by which clients can better understand themselves and others.

Using a dry erase board, 'man' is shown in the PAC chart, comprised of three separate capacities from which s/he thinks, speaks, and acts.

Dr. Henry recently expanded the T.A. concept to correspond with Biblical scripture, quoting God's words in Genesis 1:26: "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness."

Then man-of-three-capacities is depicted alongside the similar view of God the Holy Trinity. The obvious juxtaposition is astounding to Christians and non-Christians alike.

For therapy purposes, this visual comparison permits clients to view themselves and all others as having the freedom to choose from whichever of the three capacities they will think, speak and make decisions, in all their various circumstances.

This awareness and freedom to choose is extremely beneficial for clients in their everyday decisions and relationships, irrespective of circumstances. The ultimate benefit pertains to decisions regarding Eternity.

Every person alive is making decisions toward his/her Eternal destination, but not every person is conscious of that. TRINITY Therapy activates one's general consciousness and the awareness of the freedom we all retain to 'choose this day whom you will serve.'
