This is Little Red Riding Hood for the modern age...a great story that will find fans of old and young alike. * The School Librarian * This quirky take on the original is fabulous - and sure to become a bedtime delight. * The Sun * Delightful...switches on a nightlight to bleach out the darkness of the Grimms' version. Heapy allows the little girl to speak like a real child and Heap gives her the sort of coat with animal ears that wouldn't look out of place in the local park...A perfect present for a Gramma to give her VLRRH. * The Times * A delightful twist in the tale... warm illustrations... a delight to share. * The Bookseller - Bookseller's Choice * Very funny...a feisty little heroine * Blackbird Pie * A gorgeous take on the original, which perfectly captures the voice and fears of young toddlers and contains a delightful twist at the end. -- Elli Woollard * Guardian * Just delightful. Wonderfully original, funny and sweet. * Nick Sharratt * 'Very Little Red Riding Hood contains one of the most perfect representations of toddler habits I've read in a picture book and I'm so excited that it's the first in a series... This isn't just my choice for the list, (my daughter) adores this story. * Child-Led Chaos blog * Get your hands on this sweetly funny variation of the traditional story. With her toddler talk and winning smile, Very Little Red Riding Hood is an absolute charmer. ...this first time collaboration between Heapy and Heap is a whole heap of fun. * Red Reading Hub * In constant demand, eliciting hoots of laughter with every read through, but more than that - lots of really cute and hilariously funny scenes unfold as you read, and it's the perfect book to appeal to quite a broad age range * ReaditDaddy blog *More details
